_____Please consider this your formal invitation to the Alter Arts 2025 AGM. We will begin with a quick overview of our 2025 activities, including a review of the Community Art Hub annual report and a look back on the successes of the Cozy Queer Affair festival in its second year. We will also go over our 2025 financial statements, and discuss some of our hopes and plans for the coming year.
If you are interested in getting more involved with Alter Arts Society, please consider joining our Board of Directors. We will be hosting an online info session on what it means to be on the Board of Directors with Jenn Neilson and Jax Kittel, our Community Art Coordinator. We are looking for Board Members who are interested in supporting community arts events, helping us to find new sources of funding and donations from corporate sponsors, and keeping eyes are ears open for future opportunities for our Community Art Hub. We will also go over what it means to work for the Community Art Hub as our coordinator. We have the privilege of receiving grant funding to offer a part time paid position to manage the Art Hub and our annual Festival. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please mark your calendars for the discussion!

Alter Arts Society
Making the world a better place, one art project at a time.
Alter Arts Society is a registered non-profit organization.
Alter Arts Society is a registered non-profit organization and community initiative by and for artists located on the traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən people of the Songhees and Xwsepsum (Esquimalt) nations.
Those of us who are uninvited visitors to these territories, respectfully seek opportunities to unlearn oppressive, colonial practices that we have benefited from, and to follow the lead of the Indigenous stewards of these lands. We are committed to questioning existing power structures, supporting the decolonization of our society and institutions, and supporting Indigenous self-determination.
