The Out There Art Festival is BACK. Don't miss out!

      An Exclusive Interactive Art Map

A exclusive online map featuring over 100 temporary and existing art installations on display at homes and businesses throughout the neighbourhood, including NEW temporary works made for the festival and interactive and community art that you can contribute to!

      Audio Art Discovery Experience

A guided exploration of the neighbourhood awaits through a new recorded digital experience that you can stream or download. Developed specially for the Out There Art Festival by local historian and walking tour curator Vincent Gornall.

An Opportunity to Help Bring Back the Arts!

The artists who enliven our communities have been without access to audiences for over a year now. If we want them to be here to when it's safe to gather again, we need to work together to create opportunities for them to display (and sell) their work, and connect with audiences. Alter Arts Society is committed to supporting artists financially through the Out There Art Festival and our other projects. Buying a ticket to the Out There Art Festival is a safe, physically-distanced way to show your support for local artists.

      Pop-up Performances

Weekend performances for this year's festival inclue Theatre SKAM, Rollerskate Victora, Broad Theatrics, and the Victoria Academy of Ballet, as well as local Storyteller Jennifer Ferris, musical guests The Frolickers, local DJs and giant parade puppets Kit Kat, Babadook, and Caddy the Cadborosaurus.

      A Shared Experience to Remember

Experience the wonderful, quirky eccentricity of Quadra Village, an emerging arts and culture destination! Let us introduce you and the other members of your household to new and existing art throughout the neighbourhood, in a delightful shared experience.

While you're here, be sure to check out the fabulous restaurants that now call Quadra Village home!

Alter Arts Society is a registered non-profit organization and community initiative by and for artists located on the traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən people.

Those of us who are uninvited visitors to these territories, respectfully seek opportunities to unlearn oppressive, colonial practices that we have benefited from, and to follow the lead of the Indigenous stewards of these lands. We are committed to questioning existing power structures, supporting the decolonization of our society and institutions, and supporting Indigenous self-determination.
