  • Accessibility at the Art Hub

This is an accessibility review of our space, where you can find detailed information about accessing

the Community Art Hub and Makerspace.

We hope to host you at the Community Art Hub in a safe, positive, and comfortable way!

Accessibility at the Community Art Hub is an ongoing project, and we are striving to make the arts and our community space as accessible as possible to all kinds of folks. There are countless barriers to accessibility and some are more visible than others. As part of this process, we welcome feedback about access needs, and suggestions on creative ways to increase access in our community space.

In solidarity with disability justice work, we hope this information will help to inform people about what to expect when they come to our space and what we have done to make sure our environment is as accommodating as possible.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns about this guide or accessibility questions/requests please contact us at alterartssociety@gmail.com.

Thank you to the Radical Access Mapping Project for creating and maintaining their free audit template online at: https://radicalaccessiblecommunities.wordpress.com/

Alter Arts Society is a registered non-profit organization and community initiative by and for artists located on the traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən people.

Those of us who are uninvited visitors to these territories, respectfully seek opportunities to unlearn oppressive, colonial practices that we have benefited from, and to follow the lead of the Indigenous stewards of these lands. We are committed to questioning existing power structures, supporting the decolonization of our society and institutions, and supporting Indigenous self-determination.

Brought to you by Alter Arts Society.
