    Art Installations

    Bounce with Me
    Artist: Mike Golder

Five full sized painted trampolines will be set up around the green space. With their fun and imaginative designs the trampolines provide a perfect photo opportunity.

    Up Style Stacks
    Artist: Shelley Ann Fox

"New Reflections" is an exhibition of Shelley’s new collection of designer stacks, totems or cairns, or bird baths. She calls them Up Style Stacks, a remixing of old-style, once popular household dishes, vases, art glass and more. With an artful eye she stacks them into very interesting and pleasing combinations. Are these creations greater than the sum of their parts? Come take a look and decide for yourself!

    Conversations
Artist: Vincent Gornall at Studio Fantastic

Inspired by SoulPancake Street Team's "Take a Seat, Make a Friend", this conversation pit is a pack-and-play filled with colourful balloons, each featuring a conversation prompt. Two participants at a time are encouraged to enter the ball pit and have meaningful conversations that build community through play.

    Wearable Art Challenge
    Coordinator: Dave Dreidger

Show your favourite 'wearable art' items, to identify and acknowledge the local artisans (it could be you), and in the process have a chance to make connections with people with similar interests.
On display at five Quadra Village venues: DesignX, Terrific Hair Salon, Caribbean Village Cafe, The Smoke Shop and Cafe Fantastico / Sparkle Brite Launderette.

    Labels
    Artist: Julia Nunez-Eguiguren

Labels is a collection of AI generated faces. Since it’s AI generated it often combines different art styles and features in a refreshing and sometimes unsettling way. Through this collection I explore how the visual cues of a face can give us information about a person such as their occupation, age and even temperament. In my installation I invite people to write any impressions they get.

    Meet the Artist
    Artist: Charlotte Friend

Emerging artist Charlotte Friend, who began painting at the beginning of the pandemic, will share her works featuring tall trees, owls, and the various colour and light combinations that nature magically puts together to provide the world’s backdrop.

    Human Machine
    Artist: Ann K Chou

The tinkering of medical technology and art based on the possibility of humans being manufactured by machine. The test tube of the desired gene is on a conveyor belt, and the machine picks the right selection. The work is acrylic-based fabric paint on a 2 feet by 6 feet banner.

    The Pocket Project
    Artist: Jenn Neilson

This interactive installation made of reclaimed denim invites participants to ask themselves what they would like to find in a pocket.

    Summertime
    Artist: Ann K Chou

Grapevine sculpture-in the form of a bird and a frog.

    Necronomicon
    Artist: Elliott Dusome

Includes prints and paintings on wood, as well as live arts.

    The Limerick Wall
    By Alter Arts Society

Read limericks contributed by other participants. Find inspiration to write and contribute your own limericks!

    Love to the Ukraine
    Artist: Jocelyn Lefay Townsend

Love to the Ukraine is a community weaving project to welcome Ukrainian refugees to Victoria. The tapestry is simple and accessible so community members of all ages can weave a small section to contribute to the piece. The completed piece will have a blue heart woven into a yellow background—the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

    Community Grown
    Artist: Andrea Fritz

Guided by Andrea Fritz this community based mural will use your ideas, plus a general outline to create a beautiful piece of art. Grab a paint brush and join in!

    Atmospheres
    Artist: Bianca Thomson

Full of iridescent light, this cozy fractaled house with cascading crystal panels is perfect for any environment!
